As He holds the stars, He holds the universe. All things are in His keeping, including the things that keep me awake in the night.
I stepped outside last night to see if I could find the northern lights.
I didn’t find them but I found a black velvet sky
studded with millions of stars.
I felt like I was enveloped by the presence of a loving creator God,
who places the stars and knows
all the places of my heart,
intimately.
I am so small
but He loves me
so big.
What can I do with such love,
such faithfulness that places
stars even if no one sees,
that paints sunrises the people
rush past
that softens the end of the day in golden hues even when I’m
too busy to take notice.
That He should see me, insignificant
as I am and cherish me
as His beloved.
I can only praise the One whom
all praise is due,
worship the One who
gives the air I breathe.
My life, a thank offering to
Him who gave His all
for me.
