Oh we complain and yearn
for the simpler days,
days gone by;
but those days are never better
than the day we have
right now.
For this is the only day we can
make a difference that will
impact our
tomorrow.
For today IS
tomorrow’s
yesterday.
And the sacrifices that we
reflect on were made in
someone’s
“today”.
And when we pause to remember,
we are thankful.
And to be thankful means to
live thankful.
And to live thankful should
change perspectives and
attitudes.
May we be known as contributing
to the peace and
freedom
of our country,
when people remember
us.
God keep our land
glorious and free.
Oh Canada we stand
