It’s often said that watershed moments create perspective shifts. That’s what I experienced when our youngest child was born with Down syndrome. I learned how little I knew, how little I controlled, and how wrong I was about some things!
And sometimes, when we bump up against our fragility and inadequacies, we find joy to be in short supply! Will this break me? Or will this make me?

As a young girl, I remember sitting in my pink bedroom for hours, spilling my heart onto the pages. There I was brave, and the words came effortlessly.
OverlineOver the years, I realized that my thoughts and struggles were not unique, and if I could pen mine into words, maybe it could help someone feel heard and seen! Though our battles are different, we all have one thing in common.

Did I mention I love to grow flowers? It’s a bit of a passion for me! From the tiny green shoots in early spring to the magnificent glory of each bloom! There’s a story and life analogy in every blossom.
